Here is a view of the entire galaxy M33 (Messier 33), at a distance of 817,000 parsecs (about 2.5 million light years) from the Milky Way. Scroll the buttons to see how the galaxy emits light at different wavelengths (frequencies). North is up and East is left. The field is 65.5 x 72.4 arcmin (16.0 x 17.7 kpc at distance of M33. The resolution corresponds to about 18 pc in the UV images and 6 pc in the optical images.
