I’m a professional astronomer at The Johns Hopkins University, studying galaxies in the nearby Universe as a means of understanding the processes of galaxy formation and evolution acting over many billion years of cosmic history.  In this web site, you’ll find a bit of information about me, my family, and the research I’ve completed.

Sometime I may get a moment to post a blog entry or upload some photos.

Galaxies and star forming regions observed by two of the space telescopes I use most often, GALEX (the Galaxy Evolution Explorer) and the Hubble Space Telescope.  For the top left image I also used the Very Large Array.
