Post-doctoral Research position in Astrophysics - Stellar Populations

  A post-doctoral research position is available to work with Dr. Luciana Bianchi in the Dept. of Physics and Astronomy, The Johns Hopkins University. The research program involves the study of young stellar populations in Local Group galaxies with multi-band imaging from HST, plus UV imaging with GALEX and other corollary data. Experience with IDL, IRAF and photometry packages/techniques is highly desirable. Knowledge of stellar evolution is a desirable plus.
     
 

The candidate should have, or should be about to obtain, a PhD in Astronomy or closely-related field. The position is available for one year, possibly renewable for a second year, and will be filled as soon as a suitable candidate is found.
